Our garden has been looking fantastic this fall thanks to all the families who have come out to support for our Family Garden Workdays! During our September workday we installed new straw borders donated from White Cap Construction. For our October workday we painted did a lot of weeding and painted our cob oven with natural paints. Our next workday will be this Sunday, November 18th from 10am-2 p.m. This will be our last workday of the year..
Some reasons why you should attend our once a month Family Garden Work Days.
- Great way to get the whole family more engaged and connected to our school community.
- They give students an opportunity to have more time in the garden working on specific projects they love.
- Sharpen up on your gardening skills.
- Meet new families
- Get your hands in the dirt!
For our workday this Sunday we will be doing pruning, weeding, flipping compost and painting garden signs.
Some snacks will be provided and bring some to share.
Come rain or shine.
No experience necessary!
Stay for all four hours or as long as you would like!
