Above: Our finished roller coaster quilt!
Wow, we had an exciting last few weeks of school. All of the 2/3 classes went together to Great America to see roller coasters in person and to celebrate our project. Thanks to the many donors on Donors Choose who made this possible!
The same week, we finished our roller coaster quilt. Here’s a detail:
Of course we had Project Open House, where we presented what we have learned about physics during our project.
We sang a song, explained the concepts, and shared a completed roller coaster along with our writing on the subject.
On the last afternoon of the school year, we helped to clean up the classroom and watched a movie. We also did some craft projects, like decorating tote bags to hold all our stuff, and signing frisbees for each other. We shared some cupcakes and brownies with milk.
