Bike Train to School

Today SF Community participated in the Bike & Roll to School “bike train” from Excelsior Playground to nearby elementary schools that takes place on the first Tuesday of each month. 2nd graders debut their narrative nonfiction books

Today the students in Mr. Andrew’s class showcased their accomplishments as authors and publishers. Each student created a book that recounted an event that was meaningful to him or her with a detailed narrative describing actions, thoughts, and feelings. Mr. Andrew and Ms. Kim’s 2/3 class gets into character!

This month, students in Mr. Andrew and Ms. Kim’s 2/3 class have been learning about characters. They’ve been exploring character traits and emotions, choosing adjectives to describe them, and finding supporting detail to explain the adjectives they selected.
