SFC’s Fantastic Foxes for Friday Aug 26th

Camping in the Presidio for Second and Third Grade!

This year the entire Second and Third graders went overnight camping in the Presidio! This is such a magical experience for city kids to get out of the classroom and spend the day and night out in the beautiful nature that the San Francisco coast provides. We were stationed at Rob Hill Campground where we were hosted by the Camping at the Presidio (CAP) program.

Ms. Joy’s 2/3 Garden day

The last week of school before break, Ms. Joy’s class was busy planting their newest creations. Their designs were inspired by their project this semester of “Saving Endangered Animals and their Biomes.” Doing their part to reuse and recycle, the kids reused old milk cartons (from our cafeteria) and painted on them. The kids worked with our SFC garden teacher to plant some succulents.

Grades 2/3 Field Trip!

The Second and Third grades at SFC are deep in researching their fall projects.  This semester our kids are studying endangered animals specifically polar bears, sharks and sea lions. The three classes of our second and third graders went to the Aquarium of the Bay on Pier 39 to learn more about the sharks and sea lions.  The Aquarium has an amazing program that

Off to the Zoo! Grade 2/3 Field trip.

It’s project time of year at SFC and the entire 2/3 are doing a project on endangered animals – specifically polar bears, sharks and sea lions.
