Teacher Nobie’s K/1 Class, 10/25/13

Above: Christopher shows his scratch art leaf. It has a minion on it! We started our Body Shop project. This week we learned about the Integumentary system (your hair, nails, and skin). Real Life Temple Run in PE!

This week in PE, for 4th grade and up, we set up an obstacle course like the phone game Temple Run. Students ran down the length of the gym, dodging obstacles. Their classmates rolled a giant beach ball at them to simulate a boulder. At the end of their run, they needed to jump over a stacked mat that protected them from the boulder.

Nathalie’s Kindergarten class at whole school picnic Oct. 4, 2013

Last Friday the Kindergarteners took their first ever field trip.  It was for the annual SFC Whole School Picnic.  It was a long, hot walk to the Crocker Amazon park.  The kids must’ve walked at least 10 blocks from SFC. SFC gets new sign!

Last Wednesday afternoon we got a beautiful new sign with our school name on it–at long last. What a great feeling it is to have a spruced up building exterior AND an official sign. Thank you, SFUSD, for working to make SFC’s exterior reflect the great things that are happening inside!
