There was a lot happening at choice time today! Above, Ben, Ingrid, Iisis, and Leeyana made some huge structures with the Magna Tiles. Margot worked hard on a drawing of jewelry- bracelets and necklaces with their beads in different patterns. Also we did more lucky envelopes for Chinese New Year. Today’s reporters are Hernan and Theo. On Valentine’s Day we talked about what a friend is. Theo: “A friend is someone who respects you and you respect them back.” Hernan:  “A friend is someone who is kind to you and plays with you.” Then we had a party in the afternoon before choir. The new Chinese year is 4710, the Year of the Snake. We read a book called Cat and Rat, by Ed Young, which tells the legend of the Chinese Zodiac, plus explains why cats and rats hate each other.
